Rokinfontein – a huge sculpture in disguise where water would (supposedly) flow down between the two heads like a waterfall. Such a work of art in the form of a fountain!
Rokinfontein was designed by a Dutch artist, Mark Manders. This piece entitled “Two Immovable Heads” was officially unveiled not too long ago on 5 September 2017. It is located on the Rokin, outside Hudson’s Bay Amsterdam and bookstore Scheltema, surrounded by seating area. A rather nice place to hang out during summer months, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, the fountain is temporarily out of operation due to water overflowing all over the sidewalk. It is still worth a look!
Just a couple of minutes walk from the Dam Square.
