King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands immortalized on a cast-iron manhole cover, found on Sint Agathaplein, in Delft.
This Coronation Cover was designed by Aquafix Milieu for the occasion of the enthronement on April 30th 2013. Originally, the year and the crown were embossed in gold colour.
According to my research, all municipalities throughout the Netherlands received a copy, to be placed on the village or town square or as a souvenir to commemorate the event.
Apparently, there should be one right outside the Royal Palace Amsterdam, somewhere on the Dam Square, in Amsterdam. 🤔
I shall be looking out for it.
