De Poezenboot, otherwise known as the Cat Boat, used to be one of the hidden attractions in Amsterdam. News has spread quickly and it is now one of the most popular things to do when exploring the Jordaan neighborhood. I guess the cat is out of the bag!

De Poezenboot is the one and only cat-shelter housed on an Amsterdam modern houseboat, floating on Amsterdam canal since 1968. Their goal is to find a home for all the cats brought to them. De Poezenboot re-homes approximately 250 cats per year.

A visit to De Poezenboot is absolutely FREE! Your donation is highly encouraged to keep them afloat in providing a sanctuary for these felines. A must to visit for all cat lovers!
