Muizenhuis @ OBA
One of the best FREE things to do with kids in Amsterdam is hanging out at the National Library known as OBA (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam) at Oosterdokseiland.
Amongst the beautifully designed circular bookshelves, comfortable armchairs, the huge lounging pads, the giant polar bear and a big black bird, look out for the famous Muizenhuis or Mouse Mansion made by Karina Schaapman. It is a giant mice house meticulously crafted for her series of children’s books. The impressive structure is standing tall at two meters wide and three meters high! Check out the hundred rooms, hallways, factories and shops. You will be impressed!
