MOLEN de PUT Video

The view of Galgewater in Leiden from Molen de Put (windmill de Put).

Molen de Put in Leiden – a working wooden corn mill replica only 30 years of age.
It is open most Saturdays from 1100hrs – 1600hrs selling different types of flour. Look out for the rotating blade.

When it is open, free to look around and climb the mill. But let me warn you …
It was a scary climb on such a windy day as this. The mill was swaying and I felt like I was on a small boat on rough seas. I felt sick. The view was nice overlooking Galgewater and Rembrandt Bridge.
Getting down from the mill was quite challenging. It had to be backwards, on an almost upright softly swinging narrow tread staircase. Almost life threatening!
