Canal Ring / Canal Belt of Amsterdam

The hustle and bustle of Amsterdam’s Prinsengracht (translation: Prince’s Canal) on a regular Thursday, 7 July 2016 around 1pm.

I took this video standing at Pieter Goemansbrug bridge located at Prinsengracht and Leidsegracht.
Pieter Goemans was a Dutch songwriter, best known for having written the classic song “Aan de Amsterdamse grachten”. Goemans died in 2000 and his ashes were scattered right here at this intersection. Pieter Goemansbrug bridge is also known as bridge number 93. #brug93

In case you don’t know about this …
Prinsengracht is part of the 17th century Canal Ring / Canal Belt of Amsterdam listed under UNESCO World Heritage since August 2010. Stand here and witness the Venice of the North!
