Jewish Cultural Quarter of Amsterdam

I had a six hour free time, so I decided to venture the Jewish Cultural Quarter in Amsterdam.
Apart from the monuments and famous houses, Jewish Cultural Quarter includes Portuguese Synagogue, Jewish Historical Museum (with a separate Children’s Museum) and National Holocaust Memorial. It has a joint ticket system whereby you can visit all the above museums once, within one month period for €15.00 total. Make sure you keep your ticket(s) safe.

If you are adventurous, get a hold of ‘Discover the Jewish Cultural Quarter in the heart of Amsterdam’ map. I found this free map at the Jewish Historical Museum. It has a self-guided 90 minutes walking tour suggestion and recommending further 35 historic landmarks such as Portuguese Jewish Hospital, Ashkenazi Jewish Girls’ Orphanage and Monument to the Jewish Resistance. A great way to learn about the rich Jewish history in Amsterdam!
